Gil "Berto" Diaz was born and raised in New York City - specifically Manhattan's Spanish Harlem "El Barrio" and its Lower East Side "Loisaida". It was while a student at the City College of New York's film school that he became involved in NYC's movie and television series production industry full-time.

Gil has been involved in various capacities with such hit syndicated television shows like NBC's "Law & Order" and movies, such as MTV/Warner Bros' "Joe's Apt."; Paramount Pictures' "Night Falls On Manhattan"; and Touchstone Pictures' "Ransom".

Gil recently earned an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Reading Area Community College. He is enrolled in Kutztown University's Electronic Media B.S. program which emphasizes television production, videography, digital cinematography, and has won several college Emmy awards.

After Kutztown University, Gil plans on earning his M.F.A. in Film & Media Arts from Temple University. His goal is to write, direct, and produce movies and television series.
